Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Instructions:
- In a bowl, add yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and warm milk (ensure it’s not too hot, as high heat will kill the yeast). Mix and cover the bowl for about 5-7 minutes to activate the yeast.
- To the yeast mixture, add the egg, melted butter, flour, salt, and the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix the ingredients well.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes or until the dough becomes smooth.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and put it in a warm place to rise until it has doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough to release the air. Roll the dough into small balls and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover the dish to allow the dough to rise a second time.
- Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (about 350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15 to 20 minutes until the rolls turn golden brown.
- Once out of the oven, immediately butter the rolls.
- Enjoy these freshly baked dinner rolls!
