Easy Cinnamon Sugar Pecans – A Holiday Favorite!!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pecans (and/or almonds)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (120 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil.
  2. In a large ziplock bag, mix together the sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, vanilla extract, and water with a fork until frothy.
  4. Add the pecans (or almonds) to the egg white mixture and stir until they are well coated.
  5. Transfer the coated nuts to the ziplock bag containing the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake until the nuts are evenly coated.
  6. Spread the coated nuts out onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent sticking.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the candied pecans to cool completely before serving.
  9. Enjoy these crunchy and sweet candied pecans as a delightful snack for parties, holidays, or any time of the year.
