Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef, cooked, drained
- 1 cup Three Cheese Pasta Sauce (substitute as desired)
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1½ cups shredded Italian cheese blend (6 oz)
- ¼ teaspoon dried basil leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare Meat Mixture: In a skillet, mix cooked ground beef and pasta sauce. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Create Crescent Crust:
- Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles.
- Place dough in an ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate in a spoke pattern, with narrow tips overlapping the rim of the plate about 3 inches.
- Press the dough on the sides and bottom to form a crust.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the Italian cheese blend over the dough.
- Layer and Bake:
- Spoon the prepared meat mixture evenly over the cheese-covered dough.
- Bring tips of the dough over the filling to meet in the center; do not overlap.
- Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese and dried basil over the top.
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Serve: Once baked, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve
