Creamy Garlic Shrimp with Parmesan

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Reduced Fat Cream
  • 6 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 pound (500 grams) Shrimp, tails optional
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Chopped Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Shrimp:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then sear them for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
    • Transfer shrimp to a bowl and set aside.
  2. Craft the Aromatic Base:
    • In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat.
    • Saute minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Deglaze and Reduce:
    • Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the skillet, allowing it to reduce by half.
    • Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet for added flavor.
  4. Creamy Transformation:
    • Lower the heat to medium-low and pour in reduced-fat cream.
    • Let the mixture gently simmer, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Parmesan Perfection:
    • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer for another minute until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. Final Flourish:
    • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
    • Adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Plate and Serve:
    • Serve the Creamy Garlic Shrimp with Parmesan over a bed of pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables.
