CROCK POT PEPPER STEAK

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless beef round steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can of stewed tomatoes, un-drained
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 each chopped green, yellow, and orange pepper

Instructions:

  1. Trim any fat from the steak and cut it into four pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the meat on both sides in hot oil.
  3. Transfer the browned meat to the crock pot.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour the tomato mixture over the meat in the crock pot.
  6. Top with the chopped peppers.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
