- 2 eggs
 - 1 cup sugar (set aside 1/4 cup, and to this, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon)

- In a mixing bowl, combine the following topping ingredients:
- 2 eggs
 - 3/4 cup sugar (set aside 1/4 cup for later use)
 - 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
 
 - Mix all of these ingredients together thoroughly until a smooth topping mixture is achieved.
 - In a separate small bowl, take the reserved 1/4 cup of sugar and add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to it. Mix well to create a cinnamon sugar mixture.
 - To assemble your dessert, first sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over your prepared apples.
 - Next, pour the previously prepared topping mixture over the entire mixture of apples and cinnamon sugar.
 - Bake in a preheated 350-degree Fahrenheit (180-degree Celsius) oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping becomes firm and golden brown.
 - Once baked, allow it to cool slightly before serving.
