Philly Cheese Steak Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lb. Ground beef
  • 2 Bell peppers, chopped
  • ½ Onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. Seasoned salt
  • 8 Slices provolone cheese
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • ¼ cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  2. Brown the Meat: In a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove, begin to brown the ground beef.
  3. Add Vegetables: When the meat is partially browned, add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook until the meat is completely browned and the vegetables are beginning to soften.
  4. Season and Saute: Add the seasoned salt and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 30 seconds. Drain any excess grease.
  5. Layer in Baking Dish: Layer the cooked beef mixture in the bottom of a well-greased 9×9 baking dish. Top the beef with the slices of provolone cheese.
  6. Prepare Egg Mixture: In a bowl, mix together the heavy whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, and eggs until well combined.
  7. Pour Egg Mixture: Pour the egg mixture over the beef and cheese in the baking dish, ensuring even coverage.
  8. Bake: Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until cooked through and the top is golden brown.
  9. Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious cheesy beef and pepper casserole!
