Description: These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich. Made with lean ground beef, sautéed onions and green peppers, and smothered in a savory A-1 Steak Sauce and beef broth mixture, these sloppy joes are packed with flavor. Top them off with melted provolone cheese and serve on toasted buns for a mouthwatering meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup A-1 Steak Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Hamburger buns or sliders

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet pan over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef, diced onion, chopped green pepper, and salt until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir the cornstarch into the cooked ground beef mixture until the meat is evenly coated with cornstarch.
  3. Add the beef broth, A-1 Steak Sauce, and steak seasoning to the skillet. Stir everything together and bring it to a boil.
  4. Once it’s boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. The mixture should thicken as it simmers, and it will thicken further once removed from heat.
  5. While the meat mixture is simmering, set your oven to broil and place the hamburger buns or sliders on a cookie sheet. Butter each bun lightly. Broil them for just a few minutes, keeping a close eye on them to prevent burning.
  6. When the meat mixture is done simmering, use a slotted spoon to scoop it onto the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the meat mixture.
  8. Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven under the broiler for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Finally, place the top half of the bun with the melted cheese on top of the bottom bun with the Philly Cheesesteak mixture.
  10. Serve your Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes hot and enjoy the delicious, cheesy, and savory goodness!

These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Enjoy!
