Ingredients:
- 3-4 sweet onions (such as Vidalia)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Slice the sweet onions into 1/4 inch rounds, separating the rings.
- Spread the onion rings in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle them with salt, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Slice the butter into approximately 8 pats and distribute them evenly over the onions.
- Sprinkle the Italian blend and cheddar cheese over the onions, and then add the parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cheese is starting to bubble and brown.
- Serve the Tennessee Onions while still hot!
