Texas Roadhouse Rolls: A Delicious and Easy Recipe

These Texas Roadhouse rolls are soft, fluffy, and delicious. They are perfect for any occasion, from a casual meal to a special dinner party. This recipe is easy to follow and produces rolls that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water (105°F-115°F)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

For the cinnamon honey butter:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the yeast and warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes, until the yeast is foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the milk, buttermilk, softened butter, granulated sugar, salt, and 1 cup of flour. Beat on high with a mixer until combined well and smooth.
  3. Add the egg and beat until well incorporated.
  4. Slowly add the remaining flour a little at a time until the dough comes cleanly away from the mixer.
  5. Flour the dough slightly and turn it into a ball in a greased large bowl. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out until it is 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into 12 even rectangular shapes.
  8. Fold the ends of each rectangle under to form a roll shape. Place the rolls on a parchment paper or silicone mat lined baking sheet.
  9. Cover the rolls and let them rise in a warm place for 20 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  10. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  11. Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until they are lightly golden brown.
  12. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter, if desired.
  13. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the cinnamon honey butter. Mix until well combined.
  14. Serve the warm rolls with the cinnamon honey butter.
