- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
- Stir in chocolate chips and continue cooking until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and quickly add marshmallows, vanilla, and chopped nuts. Stir until fully combined.
- Pour mixture into a parchment-lined 8-inch pan and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool completely at room temperature.
- Cut into neat squares and serve.
Notes
- This recipe makes approximately 24 small squares of fudge.
- For a firmer fudge, refrigerate before cutting.
- Fudge makes an excellent holiday gift—just wrap in wax paper or gift boxes.
