Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8-count), icing reserved
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • powdered sugar (optional)
  • maple syrup or icing (optional)

Equipment

  • cutting board
  • Serrated knife or kitchen scissors
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • Nonstick skillet
  • spatula

Method

  1. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and set aside the icing packet. Cut each roll into 4–6 bite-sized pieces.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and ground cinnamon together in a mixing bowl to make the custard.
  3. Dip each dough piece into the custard, coating fully and letting excess drip off.
  4. Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook coated pieces for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  5. Transfer to a plate. Drizzle with icing or maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cook over medium heat for even browning. Warm the icing packet for easier drizzling, or use maple syrup instead. These bites taste best served fresh.
