Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • optional: chopped pecans or orange zest for topping

Equipment

  • mini muffin tin
  • mixing bowl
  • Whisk or hand mixer
  • Measuring spoons
  • spoon
  • Cooling rack

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and cut each triangle in half. Press each piece into the muffin cups, forming small shells.
  4. Spoon 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling into each dough cup, followed by 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped pecans or orange zest if desired. Bake for 11–13 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Allow the bites to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • These bites are best enjoyed the same day they’re baked.
  • For a tangier flavor, add a few drops of orange juice to the cream cheese mixture.
  • To create a festive look, dust the cooled bites lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
