Ingredients

  • 2 large frozen chicken breasts
  • 32 oz reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 family-size can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 24 oz Reames frozen noodles
  • 10 oz frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • dried parsley, to taste

Equipment

  • slow cooker or Crockpot
  • mixing spoon
  • Fork for shredding
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Add frozen chicken, cream of chicken soup, broth, gravy packet, pepper, onion powder, and parsley to the crockpot. Stir well.
  2. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours.
  3. Shred chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks.
  4. Add frozen noodles and mixed vegetables, stirring to combine.
  5. Cook for 1 more hour, or until noodles are soft.
  6. Serve warm. Pairs well with biscuits.

Notes

Avoid lifting the lid during cooking, as it lowers temperature and delays cooking. If using fresh chicken, reduce the first cook time by 1–1½ hours. For a thicker consistency, let the dish rest a few minutes before serving.
