Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken (bone-in or boneless)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

Equipment

  • skillet
  • baking dish
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken to the skillet and cook 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, mixing until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Place diced potatoes in the baking dish and pour the chicken and sauce over them. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  8. Let rest briefly, then garnish as desired and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional Parmesan or fresh herbs before serving. A mix of potato varieties adds texture, and a crisp green salad helps balance the richness.
