Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 lb baby Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp buttery steakhouse seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Large sheet pan
  • aluminum foil
  • Medium saucepan
  • meat mallet or rolling pin
  • knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with foil.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add honey, garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 5–6 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness. Cut potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
  4. Arrange chicken and potatoes on the sheet pan. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, pepper, paprika, and steakhouse seasoning.
  5. Pour honey garlic sauce over the chicken.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and potatoes are fork-tender.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end
  • Stir potatoes halfway through cooking if they are crowded
  • Sauce thickens slightly as it cools
  • Ideal for weeknight dinners, meal prep, and family meals
