- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add the sweet potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 15 minutes, stirring often until fork-tender.
- Push the sweet potatoes to the edges of the skillet. Melt the remaining 4 tablespoons butter in the center. Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved into a glaze.
- Toss the potatoes gently in the glaze until evenly coated.
- Lower the heat and let simmer for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle cinnamon over the potatoes and stir to combine.
- Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with extra sauce, and serve warm.
