Banana Split Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cold milk
- 3 1/2 cups cold milk, divided
- 16 ounces Cool Whip topping, divided
- 1 (23-ounce) container of frozen sliced strawberries, thawed and drained well
- 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained well
- 2 (3.4-ounce) boxes of instant banana cream pudding
- Chocolate syrup
- Maraschino cherries (optional)
- Nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly moist. Press this mixture into an even layer in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Place the dish in the refrigerator while you prepare the next layer.
- In another medium bowl, use a hand mixer on medium speed to combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of cold milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Then, fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip until fully combined.
- Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator and evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust.
- Spread the drained strawberries and crushed pineapple evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the two boxes of instant banana cream pudding with 3 1/2 cups of cold milk until the pudding thickens. Spread the pudding evenly over the fruit layer.
- Let the dessert sit for about 5 minutes to allow the pudding to firm up slightly.
- Spread the remaining 8 ounces of Cool Whip over the top of the dessert as evenly as possible.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the Cool Whip layer to your liking.
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
- Optionally, garnish with maraschino cherries and nuts before serving.
