Easy Stir-Fry Chicken with Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth (divided into ¾ cup and ¼ cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Skillet:
    • Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Use cooking spray to coat the skillet to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Chicken, Garlic, and Ginger:
    • Add the chicken pieces, chopped garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Fry them until they are browned, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add Broth, Soy Sauce, and Sugar:
    • Pour in ¾ cup of the chicken broth, along with the soy sauce and sugar. Stir to combine.
    • Cover the skillet and let the mixture cook for 5 minutes. Remember to stir halfway through the cooking time.
  4. Introduce Broccoli:
    • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Cover again and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  5. Thicken the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ¼ cup of chicken broth with the cornstarch until smooth.
    • Pour this mixture into the skillet, stirring continuously, to thicken the sauce that coats the chicken and broccoli.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Once the sauce is thickened and the chicken and broccoli are well-coated, remove the skillet from the heat.
