Filling
- 5 cups peaches, peeled and diced fresh or frozen
 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 cup sugar
 - 1 cup whole milk
 - 4 teaspoons baking powder
 - 1 tablespoon sea salt
 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

- 3/4 cup brown sugar
 - 3/4 cup sugar
 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
 - 3 cups water
 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
 - Cool whip/ice cream/whipped cream (Optional garnish)
 
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick butter.
 - In a large pot over medium heat, mix together brown sugar, nutmeg, sugar, and then add butter and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and set aside.
 - In a bowl, mix together sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended.
 - Whisk in milk and vanilla extract until smooth, then add diced peaches.
 - Fill the prepared baking dish, then sprinkle topping over it.
 - Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 50-55 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil if necessary until the mixture is cooked.
 - Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving. Optional: Garnish with Cool Whip, ice cream, or whipped cream.
