Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie or boiled chicken works well)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor works best)
- 1/2 cup diced green onions (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Layer Doritos: Spread half of the crushed Doritos at the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Add Chicken Mixture: Layer the chicken mixture over the Doritos.
- Top with Doritos and Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining Doritos and top with the rest of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Add Optional Ingredients: If using green onions, tomatoes, or black olives, add them now.
- Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Crisp the Top: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes for a crispy top.
- Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving.
