Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Kiss Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Dough: In a large mixing bowl, blend together softened butter, both sugars, peanut butter, and the egg until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Gently mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and milk chocolate chips until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Press into Pan: Evenly press the dough into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake: Bake for approximately 22 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Add Hershey’s Kisses: Upon removing from the oven, immediately press Hershey’s Kisses onto the top of the bars while they are still hot.
  7. Cool and Cut: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, cut into squares, ensuring that each square has a Hershey’s Kiss in the center.

Notes:

  • You can customize these bars by using different flavors of Hershey’s Kisses for variety.
  • Store any leftover bars in an airtight container.
