Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 lbs chicken legs
- 1 2/3 tablespoons olive oil (to prevent sticking)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 2/3 tablespoons ketchup
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
- Prepare Chicken:
- Place chicken in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Make Sauce:
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Pour Sauce Over Chicken:
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the baking dish, ensuring the chicken is well coated.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for one hour or until the sauce is caramelized, and the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
- Serve:
- Once done, remove from the oven. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions. Serve the honey garlic baked chicken over rice or with your preferred side dishes.
Notes:
- For a twist, you can also use chicken wings or pork ribs with the same sauce for baking.
- Keep an eye on the chicken to prevent burning, and adjust cooking time if needed based on your oven’s temperature
